Cooperation with companies is an essential element to support SFC’s vision and mission. There are several ways for companies to collaborate with SFC and the different people in ATDF. As a new kind of environment that brings together students, researchers and businesses, ATDF is made for finding, incubating and realizing new ideas.

ETOPIA

Etopia specializes in the design, planning, and building of innovative construction technologies, which accord with the principles of ustainable development to meet the goals of a harmonious society. It is an interactive, which significantly reduces the inefficiency and waste of current construction methodologies by integrating construction management operations with new house-building technologies.

TONGJI TIANDI INSTITUTE OF ART AND DESIGN INNOVATION

Tongji TIANDI Institute of Art and Design Innovation is a new-style company co-founded by Tongji University, Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tongji University, College of Design and Innovation Tongji University. It aims to bring the advantages of traditional engineering of Tognji University into play and achieve excellence, profession, cooperation and innovation based on the full combination

among technology, art and innovative design.

GSC

GSC is sponsored by the Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province, participated by the relevant state departments and jointly funded by research institutions, semiconductor lighting listed enterprises and leading enterprises in Guangdong Province. Facing to the innovation needs of each industry chain, systematically integrated the efficient innovation resources, perfect innovation service function, create innovation environment, build the strategic think-tank of Guangdong LED industry，information exchange hub, testing and certification base, technological innovation bridge, the pioneer of financial services, a good environment for talent training, and a stage to display achievements. In 2012, GSC participates in and supports the design competition that organized by SFC.

SANMAS FILM

Sanmas is an innovative film-maker. It communicates through writing, filmmaking, animation and music, anything that helps to tell a great story. It strives to be great planners and communicators, and prides itself on the professionalism and smart creation.

In the first phase of SFC, the involvement of businesses in ATDF was already very strong. Within the Semester Year 2011-2012, over 15 university-industry collaboration projects were initiated in ATDF through PDP, IDBM, TOT projects. The connection and collaboration between industry and SFC will be much deeper and broader. Currently, the collaboration has been started with the following companies..

HAIER

Founded in 1984, the Haier Group has been dedicated to innovation and creating a world famous brand over the past 26 years. Haier has risen to be the world’s No.1 brand of consumer appliances. In addition, it was selected as one of the world’s Top 10 innovative companies issued by USA Newsweek’s website. In February 2011, SFC and Haier start collaboration on research.

UNILUMIN

Unilumin Group Co., Ltd is one leading supplier of LED products and application solutions. The main products at present are LED display and led lighting. With integrated R&D, manufacturing, selling and service systems, Unilumin is engaged in providing high-quality and good-performance LED products and solution for all customers including professional channel customers and terminal customers. Unilumin provided lighting solution for the new space of SFC. A Unilumin-Tongji Research Centre will start up in ATDF.

FEIDIAO

Feidiao Electrical Appliances Group Co., Ltd was established in 1987,with HQ located in Shanghai Science and Technology industrial zone. With twenty years of development, Feidiao Electrical Appliances Group Co., Ltd has evolved into the modern enterprise engaging in manufacturing, scientific research ,import and export trade and service.

CRYSTAL CG

Crystal CG, having started with Computer Graphics technique, is now striving to be a globally leading creative group of digital and visual services, supplying clients of varied sectors with integrated solutions based on digital graphics. Using computer graphics processing technique, the Company offers creative direction, design, production, as well as hardware and software integration, for purposes in publicity, presentation, display, communication, entertainment and customized applications.

ROVIO

Rovio is an entertainment media company, and the creator of the globally successful Angry Birds franchise. Rovio was founded in 2003 as a mobile game development studio, and the company has developed several award-winning titles for various mobile platforms.

KONE

Kone is a global manufacturer of elevators and escalators. KONE has involved in two of the student projects piloted in ATDF.

Metso Paper

Metso is a global supplier of sustainable technology and services for mining, construction, energy, metal recycling and the pulp and paper industries. Metso has been involved in the Product Development Project student course, and their project is done partially in China.

Electrolux

Electrolux is manufacturer of home and professional appliances for cooking and cleaning. Electrolux has provided their solutions and products to be utilized at ATDF.

Powerkiss develops wireless charging solutions, converting basic furniture into smart energy platforms. The fundamental idea behind behind wire-free charging is to ease everyday life and make the world more user-friendly and environmentally sound. Powerkiss has provided their solutions and technology to be utilized at ATDF.

Harvia is a Finnish, family owned company with more than 60 years of experience in developing new innovations to the sauna environment. Today Harvia is one of the leading sauna heater manufacturers in the world with exports to over 65 countries. Harvia has provided their solutions and products to be utilized at ATDF.

Marimekko Corporation is a leading Finnish textile and clothing design company that designs, manufactures and markets high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories under the Marimekko brand, both in Finland and abroad.
