On May 24th, Finnish Millennium Technology Prize 2016 Satellite Event was held at SFC. Mr. Jan Wahlberg, Consul General of Finland in Shanghai, Mr. Jarmo Heinonen, Technology Consul, Head of Tekes, Dr. ZUO Xuejin, Counselor of Shanghai Municipal Government, Dr. Emma Falck, Vice President, Greater China Area, KONE, Prof. LOU Yongqi, Dean, College of Design and Innovation, Tongji University, Executive Vice Director of SFC representatives of Aalto University Student Union attended this event.
Consul General Jan Wahlberg gave the opening speech, introducing Millennium Technology Prize as one of the world’s leading science and technology awards established in 2004, which is a prize of one million euros is awarded by Technology Academy Finland every second year. Afterwards, all participants discussed about issues related to innovation and technology.
All of us witnessed the most exciting moment together via live show: Biochemical engineer, Professor of Caltech, Frances Arnold received the 2016 Millennium Technology Prize from President Sauli Niinistö.
